Adult Community Clinical Services is a Department of Mental Health funded service that is designed to deliver evidence-based interventions within a clinically focused model. The teams are tight knit, supportive and multidisciplinary. Open Sky’s talented clinicians, substance use counselors, nurses, peer staff, housing counselors, outreach counselors, and direct care staff provide quality, compassionate care to individuals served.
The Certified Peer Specialist provides direct peer support to individuals and families by sharing their lived and personal experiences with mental illness with the purpose and intent to build trust and collaboration with people served. They work with individuals to support the development and maintenance of key skills including stress management, relapse prevention, self-determination, self-advocacy, decision making, and goal planning through the use of recovery tools, including Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP).
