Part-Time Driver - Crystal House Clubhouse (25 Hours)

Open Sky's Crystal House Clubhouse is a community dedicated to the rehabilitation of adults recovering from mental illness. It is a member of the Massachusetts Clubhouse Coalition, an organization comprising 33 clubhouses throughout the Commonwealth.  Through a variety of meaningful and engaging tasks, members have the ability to develop, or refresh employment skills, explore educational opportunities, and participate in social activities.

Crystal House provides services to residents of the Greater Gardner Area. The club has an average enrollment of 80 members, with an average daily attendance of 30. In addition to Gardner, communities served by the club include Ashburnham, Barre, Fitchburg, Hardwick, Hubbardston, Leominster, New Braintree, Oakham, Princeton, Rutland, Templeton, Westminster and Winchendon.

The Part-Time Driver provides transportation to individuals supported by the Clubhouse. This is a split-shift "school bus schedule" role with morning hours, then off duty, then afternoon hours.

• Follow assigned routes and schedule for on time pick-up and drop-off.
• Drive courteously and obey applicable traffic laws. 
• Remain alert and focused, and avoid distractions while operating vehicle.
• Treat individuals served with dignity and respect, and provide appropriate support to them while they are in your care.
• Ensure assigned vehicle is clean and in good repair, promptly reporting any maintenance issues for resolution.

• High School diploma or equivalent.  Alternate forms of education and/or experience will be considered.
• Reliability, respect, professionalism, and a desire to see individuals succeed with stable housing, employment, and life skills.
• Valid driver's license required, and must meet MART Driving Standards:
  • Clean driving record spanning multiple years
  • Fingerprinting
  • Drug testing
