Summer Temp Staff

Open Sky is now hiring summer temp staff to help support individuals with developmental, intellectual, physical, mental health and other challenges in a residential group home by promoting independence, safety, and quality of life. This role provides hands-on support, guidance, and assistance with daily living activities while encouraging community engagement and meaningful participation.

Summer temp staff are able to provide meaningful, hands-on experience in human services and an opportunity to make a positive impact in the community while being ideal for students or individuals seeking summer employment!Temporary Residential Counselors provide direct care and supervision to the youth and young adults served by the program. Counselors provide role modeling, guidance and advocacy to the youth served by the program. They also help to empower the youth served through the use of a trauma informed care approach and utilize such skills as compromising, negotiating, and problem solving. They help to keep the youth integrated into the community both locally and in their home towns. Additionally, counselors help prepare meals to share with the youth, so free food is an added perk!

 Other Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing individualized, person-centered treatment plans and play a lead role in the daily implementation plans. 
• Assist individuals to access and/or provide transportation.
• Review and complete all required documentation.

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required.
• Reliability, willingness to learn, and being open to new opportunities.
