The Relief position will give you an opportunity to gain experience and make a difference in someone’s life while working with people with Mental Health challenges and Developmental Disabilities.
Open Sky's Day Habilitation programs serves adults between the ages of 23-85 with a primary diagnosis of intellectual disabilities, though some individuals may also have mental health diagnoses and/or physical challenges. Most participants require supportive structures and staff assistance to maximize their involvement in activities within the program as well as within the local community. Our staff educate through the creation and implementation of individualized service plans, daily curriculum/activities, and have a heavy focus on community integration.
As a Per Diem Teaching Assistant you will provide support to the individuals served in a direct care role by ensuring a supportive and structured environment. The Per Diem Teaching Assistant will provide guidance, advocacy, and life skills education for individuals served within the Day Program.
Relief Teaching Assistants play a significant role in our mission to enhance the well-being of those we serve by providing direct support care, ensure daily living needs are met while maintaining a safe yet inspiring atmosphere.
