Description and Responsibilities

At Open Sky we recognize the importance of person-centered mental health services. The Bridge Counseling Center serves individuals in the community as well as individuals who are served through other Open Sky programs in an outpatient capacity. We offer evidence-based practices, that include medication management and cognitive-behavioral treatments to support individuals with various clinical presentations. This includes Psychotic and Affective Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma Disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, Substance use disorders and others.

 

The Assistant Vice President of Outpatient Services is someone who has experience working with multidisciplinary teams and is committed to providing persons served with compassionate clinical treatment in accordance with the scope of practice and regulations governing Community Mental Health and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics. They are responsible for providing on-site management and oversight over all facets of clinical and administrative services and is accountable for the supervision of administrative aspects of all clinical and non-clinical support staff - including hiring & training. Their scope of responsibilities also includes the direct oversight of all front-end revenue cycle activities, including billing, collections, denials, and eligibility status of persons served, monitoring missing charges and running monthly reports.  reviewing statistical/management reports, participating in quality improvement reviews, monitoring compliance with DPH requirements. 

 

Other Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage non-medical provider schedules, reviews medical provider schedules, coordinates staffing needs and maintains equipment and supplies,
  • Reviews statistical/management reports, participates in quality improvement reviews and monitors compliance with DPH requirements.

  • Provide clinical supervision to assigned Open Sky Counseling Center staff.

  • Responsible for providing clinical on-call administrative duties to support extended clinical hours, which includes weekends.
  • Work in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer, Compliance and Quality, Financial Administration, Human Resources, and other departments to identify and implement enhancements to clinic operations and/or policies and procedures.
  • Oversee quality improvement for outpatient services through development of procedures, manuals, and training materials.
  • Coordinate with Program Evaluator and Director of Data Reporting and Analysis to ensure timely and accurate submission of all grant-required data reports and other data requirements.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling or related field with current LICSW or LMHC, required.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory role directly providing behavioral health services, required.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of outpatient and community-based 3rd party billing activities, required.
  • Experience working with Managed Care Organizations and prior work experience in a social services or healthcare setting as a direct service provider, highly preferred.
  • Experience with and willingness to learn evidence-based practice models for treatment of mental health disorder, highly preferred.
