Description and Responsibilities

Flexible Support Services are designed to assist youth between the ages of 6 and 18 and their families in Central MA who are DMH-eligible and DMH-referred. The overall goal is to assist children and their family members to develop skills, strategies and supports to sustain the child in the family’s natural environment and to help the child successfully function in the community. Services are highly flexible and individualized to meet the varying needs of children and their families.

 

The Program Director will provide clinical oversight to the services of Intensive Home-Based Therapeutic Care and oversees the programs team of clinicians, youth support specialist, peers, family partners and occupational therapist. They will screen individuals referred in compliance with funding source regulations, manage referrals for services as well as assign and manager caseloads, including maintaining own caseload of youth, young adults, and families as necessary. They will also participate in the quality improvement process, including developing and implementing corrective action plans, and ensure initiatives are implemented to enhance the wellbeing and support to all staff and individuals served.

 

Other Key Responsibilities: 

  • Provide individual and group supervision, including clinical supervision, to assigned reports in accordance with agency standards.\
  • Facilitate weekly staff meetings. Facilitate program, division, and agency wide training, as assigned.
  • Develop and manage program budgets.
  • Ensure that each individual and family served has a timely and appropriate individual treatment plan (ITP) that is implemented and that is reviewed and updated in compliance with regulations.
  • Provide crisis support, care coordination and community linkage for all referred youth and families.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in social services or related field with current Independent Clinical Licensure (LMHC, LICSW), required.
  • Expertise in mental health treatment of children/adolescents, young adults and their families, including knowledge of substance abuse and co-occurring disorder treatment, required.
  • Valid Drivers License and acceptable driving history, required.
