Director of Peer Services

Open Sky is seeking a candidate to fill the role of Director of Peer Services to help support the overall strategic direction and development of Peer Services, Recovery Services, and Family Partner programs. They will ensure that services are innovative, recovery-oriented, and aligned with organizational goals and ethical principles guiding service delivery. The Director of Peer Services will also oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure they meet program and service needs, funder expectations, and community standards, and support employees in roles using lived experience to provide effective, person center support and advocacy. 

Other Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct supervision to employees using lived experience in their roles as assigned.
• Ensure that professionals in peer roles at Open Sky have access to credential supervision to achieve the required credentials for their role in the timeline identified.
• Design and provide practice-oriented supervision to a team of Certified Peer Recovery Counselors, Certified Addiction Recovery Coach, Young Adult Peer Mentors and Family Partners, providing guidance, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
• Design policies impacting peer services for the agency. Develop and implement training initiatives to enhance staff competencies, particularly around recovery models, peer support, and family engagement.

• Minimum of 5 years experience using lived experience overseeing peer services, recovery services, or family support programs, required.
• Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or management role overseeing peer services, recovery  services or family support programs required.
• Lived experience with mental health and demonstrated ability to use lived experience in your work, required.
• Valid Drivers License, reliable transportation and acceptable driving record, required.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required. 
• CPS, CARC or CFPS certification, required.
